The short version

Privacy

NWSL Labs has no accounts, no ads, and no advertising trackers following you around. We don't ask for your name or email, we don't set tracking cookies, and we don't sell anything to anyone. To know whether the site is working we count anonymous, cookieless page views through our host, Cloudflare — that's the only measurement, and it can't identify you. The rest of your data lives in your own browser, to remember your club and your theme. That's the whole story — the rest is detail.

What's stored on your device

  • Your club — a single cookie remembers which club you picked so your colors and your team's pages come up first. You can clear it any time by switching back to the league-neutral view or wiping cookies for this site.
  • Your theme — light or dark mode is saved in your browser's local storage so the site doesn't flash the wrong palette on reload.
  • Your depth toggle — a small preference for how much detail some views show, also kept locally.
  • An offline cache — the site registers a service worker so pages you've visited can load without a connection. It caches pages and data, not personal information.

All of the above stays in your browser. None of it is sent to us, tied to your identity, or shared with anyone. Clearing your browser data for this site removes it completely.

What we don't do

  • No accounts, logins, or passwords.
  • No advertising and no ad networks.
  • No advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking, and no tracking cookies. The one exception is cookieless, anonymous page-view counting through our host (described below) — it can't identify you.
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data — we have none to sell.

Hosting and server logs

The site is a set of static files served through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare may automatically log standard request information — such as IP addresses and browser type — for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. That handling is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy, not ours.

For a simple sense of traffic we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first by design: it sets no cookies, builds no profiles, and doesn't track you across other sites. It counts anonymous page views and referrers so we can tell whether the site is useful — nothing that identifies you, and no data sold to anyone.

If you email us

When you get in touch, we keep your message and address only so we can reply and fix whatever you flagged. We don't add you to any list and won't use your email for anything else.

Data and imagery on the site

Match and player numbers come from American Soccer Analysis and ESPN; photos and bios come from Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia under their Creative Commons licenses. These describe public players and clubs, not you. For the full rundown, see the about page.

Changes and questions

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Children are welcome to read about soccer here; the site collects nothing that identifies anyone, regardless of age. Questions about privacy? Email [email protected].
